What’s in the cinnamon dolce latte?
The cinnamon dolce latte from Starbucks is made with sweet cinnamon syrup, steamed milk, and espresso. It’s then topped with cinnamon dolce sprinkles for a little extra flavor and sweetness.
The number of syrup pumps and espresso shots varies depending on the size of the drink. For a 16-ounce grande, the drink has 2 shots of espresso and 4 pumps of flavor syrup.
Top it off with whipped cream and cinnamon dolce sprinkles.
And if you don’t have an espresso machine, you can substitute a strong cup of coffee for the espresso shot. Add more or less to achieve the amount of coffee flavor you’re looking for in this classic latte.
What does a cinnamon dolce latte taste like?
This latte is sweet and cinnamony with a rich, creamy texture.
The cinnamon dolce syrup has a strong cinnamon flavor with a hint of sweetness. The espresso balances out the sweetness and adds a bit of bitterness.
And the steamed milk makes the drink nice and frothy.
If you want a less sweet latte, you can always ask for fewer pumps of cinnamon dolce syrup. Or, if you want it to be even sweeter, add an extra pump.
Can you buy cinnamon dolce syrup?
Yes, you can buy cinnamon dolce syrup online or at coffee shops.
But it’s easy (and cheaper) to make homemade cinnamon syrup. All you need is water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla extract.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of milk should you use in a cinnamon dolce latte?
The cinnamon dolce latte is traditionally made with 2% milk.
But you can use any type of milk that you prefer. Whole milk will make the drink richer and creamier.
And if you’re looking for a non-dairy option, almond or oat milk works well too. Nonfat milk is also an option for the iced version.
What’s the difference between a cinnamon dolce latte and a cinnamon dolce frappuccino?
The cinnamon dolce frappuccino is made with cinnamon dolce syrup, a frappuccino base, milk, and ice. It’s then topped with whipped cream and cinnamon dolce sprinkles.
The main difference is that the cinnamon dolce latte is made with classic espresso, while the cinnamon dolce frappuccino is made with a frappuccino base.
Can you make an iced cinnamon dolce latte?
Absolutely! Skip the steamed milk, but you can froth it if you like the extra body in your latte. Add ice and combine the remaining ingredients.
How do you make a cinnamon dolce frappuccino?
Pull a shot of espresso and allow it to cool. Combine the milk of your choice, 1 cup of ice cubes, the cooled espresso, and 1-2 tablespoons of syrup in a blender.
To achieve that smooth, creamy texture that is a hallmark of the frappuccino, add 1 teaspoon of xanthan gum. You can also try adding chia seeds, which have the same effect and various health benefits.
Blend all ingredients with the xanthan gum or chia seeds until smooth. Top with whipped cream and the cinnamon dolce sprinkles, and enjoy!
The frappuccino version is one of my all-time favorite Starbucks drinks, and I love being able to recreate it at home!
How many calories are in a cinnamon dolce latte?
A 16-ounce cinnamon dolce latte from Starbucks has around 340 calories. This drink contains 4 pumps of cinnamon syrup, 2% milk, and whipped cream.

No. But you can buy Cinnamon Toast Crunch Seasoning. It’s similar to the Starbucks version. Combining sugar and ground cinnamon allows you to make your own without adding preservatives or fillers.
The commercial version from Starbucks also has butter extract and powdered milk; however, I prefer this simple cinnamon sugar mixture.
And if you’re watching your sugar intake, you can add a sprinkle of cinnamon to the whipped cream without any added sugar.
How do you store homemade cinnamon dolce syrup?
You can store your homemade syrup in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to one month.
