- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup water
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1-2 shots espresso
- ½ cup oat milk
- ice
Combine the brown sugar and water in a small saucepan. Warm over low heat while stirring occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved. Continue warming for approximately 8-10 additional minutes to really seal in that caramel flavor from the melted brown sugar. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract. Pour into a glass jar for storage in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Pull your espresso shots and add to your favorite glass. Add 1 tablespoon of the brown sugar syrup and the milk. Using a hand frother, add a bit of body to the mixture. Add ice cubes. Add a dash of cinnamon powder over the top if desired, and enjoy!
