The sweetest, creamiest drink you've ever tasted!
Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Cook Time 5 minutes mins
Total Time 15 minutes mins
- 1 tbsp Kraft caramel candy bits
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp finely ground espresso substitute coffee of your choice
- 3.5 cups hot water
- ice for iced version
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla pudding mix
- caramel for drizzle either caramel syrup or melted candy bits
Combine the caramel bits and half-and-half in a medium saucepan and heat over low to medium heat.
Once the caramel bits have almost melted and the milk is warm, pour into a small bowl.
Use a hand mixer to add froth and to break up any remaining pieces of caramel. Once the caramel is completely mixed in, add the vanilla extract.
Add the ground espresso to a French press and pour in the hot water. Allow to sit for 4 minutes before depressing the plunger and pouring out the coffee.
For the iced version, fill your favorite Mason jar with ice. Pour in the vanilla/caramel milk and add 1/4 cup of the freshly brewed espresso. Stir.
Finish with homemade soft top by combining the heavy cream and dry pudding mix. Use the mixer and mix for approximately 5 minutes until it forms stiff peaks. You will need to mix it for longer than you think, so keep mixing if it hasn't yet formed stiff peaks! Scoop the soft top on top of your drink and finish with a generous drizzle of caramel syrup or more melted caramel bits. Enjoy!
