Coffee Base Recipe
A simple recipe you can use in blended coffee drinks and more!
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
Combine the sugar with the water in a medium saucepan and warm over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Once it has cooled to room temperature, add the xanthan gum and stir.
Store in a bowl or jar with an opening wide enough to allow a tablespoon so you can scoop the mixture. You should keep it covered in the refrigerator and it will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.
A suggested serving is 1-3 tablespoons per blended drink, depending upon desired thickness.
