What is an Iced Raspberry Mocha?

An iced raspberry mocha is a chilled espresso-based drink that blends rich chocolate flavor with a touch of bright, fruity raspberry.

It starts with espresso (or strong brewed coffee), which is mixed with chocolate syrup and raspberry syrup, then poured over ice and finished with cold milk for a smooth, creamy texture.

The result is a perfectly balanced drink—bold and slightly bitter from the coffee, sweet and indulgent from the chocolate, and lightly tart from the raspberry.

It’s a fun twist on a classic iced mocha and feels a little more special than your everyday iced coffee.

While you’ll sometimes see raspberry mochas on seasonal café menus, this flavor combination isn’t always available year-round.

That’s what makes making it at home so appealing: you can enjoy this chocolate-raspberry treat whenever the craving hits, customize the sweetness, and use your favorite type of milk or coffee base.

What’s in an Iced Raspberry Mocha?

This simple recipe comes together quickly with a few ingredients.

Espresso

But you don’t need a fancy espresso machine to make this drink.

In fact, my favorite quick and easy way to make an espresso-like drink is using the Aeropress.

You can also use it to make a great cup of coffee.

Cold brew is another option for this recipe because it’s concentrated and works well in iced lattes.

Mocha Flavor

I enjoy using cocoa powder to give coffee drinks a deep, chocolate flavor without being overly sweet.

Simply add the cocoa powder to the hot espresso and combine with a hand frother

But you can also use Torani sauces and combine them with the espresso for the ultimate indulgence.

Dark chocolate pairs well with the flavors, but a white chocolate mocha would be tasty as well.

Raspberry Flavor

Fresh raspberries work well in a quick, homemade sauce.

Otherwise, you can certainly use a premade raspberry syrup

Milk

You’re welcome to use your favorite milk of choice in this recipe.

I love using oat milk, but you can definitely use regular milk.

Whole milk adds unbeatable creaminess!

But you certainly can use skim milk to trim the recipe down a tad.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make an iced raspberry mocha without an espresso machine?

Yes! I love using my Aeropress to make a coffee drink that works really well in these types of recipes.

But you can also use regular coffee brewed slightly stronger than you generally would brew, cold brew concentrate, or even instant espresso

What kind of raspberry syrup works best in an iced raspberry mocha?

Store-bought raspberry syrup works well, but you can also use homemade for a fresher option. Just be sure it’s smooth and well-strained.

Can you make a dairy-free iced raspberry mocha?

Absolutely. This recipe works well with dairy-free milk options like oat, almond, or coconut milk, making it easy to customize to your preferences.
