What is the Starbucks Verismo?
The Starbucks Verismo is a coffee machine that allows you to make Starbucks-quality coffee at home.
Although Starbucks discontinued the manufacture of the Verismo machine in December 2020, you can still purchase it and the pods on Amazon and through Wal-Mart.
You can also purchase compatible pods from K-fee, the company that originally manufactured the Starbucks Verismo coffee maker.
In an effort to make your shopping experience as effortless as possible, I have included Amazon links. If you’re interested in checking out a price, simply click the picture to be taken directly to Amazon.
What drinks can you make with the Verismo?
Verismo coffee makers allow you to replicate almost any Starbucks coffee shop menu drink!
From lattes to Americanos to cappuccinos, you can do it all!
The Verismo brewing system also makes a better cup of delicious coffee than most drip coffee machines.
And the best part is that you can completely replicate the Starbucks coffee blends all while wearing your sweats at home!
What types of pods are compatible with the Verismo?, ,
The Verismo coffee machine has limited pod compatibility as with most pod-style devices. Compatible coffee pods include the Verismo coffee pods and K-fee coffee pods.
And suppose you’re interested in using your own ground coffee. In that case, you’ll be happy to learn that you can buy reusable capsules for the machine.
Which accessories can you get for the Verismo?
Lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos all require steamed and frothed milk.
Although Starbucks originally manufactured a separate Verismo milk frother to accompany the machine, they can be challenging to find.
Amazon does not carry the Verismo milk frother but Wal-Mart does continue to stock it. As the machine has been discontinued, you will likely have to order supplies online instead of in Wal-Mart stores.
There are also many other milk frothers on the market that will froth milk hot or cold, dairy or non-dairy.
Wal-Mart also carries the Verismo capsule drawer so you can neatly organize and store your Starbucks Verismo pods.
Where can you get pods?
You can buy pods from Amazon and Wal-Mart. Although Target carries Starbucks pods for Keurig coffee makers, it no longer carries supplies for the Verismo.
What is the Nespresso?,
The Nespresso is a coffee machine that uses capsules to make individual cups of coffee.
These capsules contain pre-measured amounts of coffee and flavorings, so all you have to do is pop one in the machine and hit the start button!
The machine then forces hot water through the capsule, extracting all of the deliciousness inside.
One of the great things about Nespresso is that it gives you a lot of control over your coffee.
You can choose from various capsules, making your coffee as strong or weak as you like. You can also experiment with different flavorings to find your perfect cup!
What drinks can you make with the Nespresso?
The Nespresso is perfect for making all sorts of different coffee drinks.
If you want a simple cup of coffee, all you have to do is put in a capsule and hit the start button!
And you can make espresso or cappuccino with the machine if you want something a little fancier.
What types of pods are compatible with the Nespresso?,
Nespresso offers several different machines as part of two distinct lines.
The original line features machines that make both espresso and coffee, but the line itself focuses on outstanding espresso.
The Vertuo is a newer line of products that offers a host of drink options in 5 different cup sizes.
Nespresso pods are not interchangeable between the two lines. But there are a host of other pods that work in the original Nespresso machines.
Alternative pod options for the Vertuo lines are still relatively limited.
Which accessories can you get for the Nespresso?
The original line of Nespresso models does offer several machines with dual milk frothing and steaming options.
Although Vertuo doesn’t have milk-steaming capabilities, several devices come with a separate milk frother.
Are there different models?
As previously mentioned, there are two separate product lines offered by Nespresso. The original line focuses on authentic espresso and drinks featuring espresso.
The newer Vertuo line focuses less on artistry and more on convenience in creating an exceptional cup of coffee at the push of a button.
Where can you get pods?
Finding pods for the Nespresso system can be tricky because pods are not interchangeable between the original and Vertuo lines.
You should, therefore, pay close attention when buying pods to ensure they will fit your machine.
That said, Nespresso is still actively manufacturing both lines of machines, so finding pods is relatively simple. Amazon, Wal-Mart, and Target all carry Nespresso brand products.
